It’s that time of the year again. No, it’s not Christmas, but for the fashionable it’s even better. From New York to London, we’ve had fashion week. It’s now Phoenix’s turn.
Phoenix’s Fashion Weeks mission is to bridge buyers and designers, and educated designers and fashion enthusiasts. The show will showcase not only established designers, but emerging designers as well. Before the show, emerging designers will go through a designer bootcamp to fine tune their line, and learn how to transform their dreams into a successful business. The designer of the year will win a financial prize to help kick start their careers. This year there will be a winner every night. I’m in favor of this change, because it’s impossible to compare ball gowns to tshirt designers.Hear leaders of the industry talk about their experience in seminars every morning and afternoon before the show. Afterwards, style villa will open around five where guests can shop the looks from the runway.
Eight shows, for three nights. Each night the designs from around the world will get more and more dazzling from street wear to ball gowns. I can’t wait to see what Michelle Hebert brings to the runway, this year.
The Los Angels designer, makes a Phoenix come back after two years. Her dresses are more lacy and delicate than ever before. The list of emerging designers also include: Arae, Azmara Asefa, Charmosa Swimwear, Cute Like Mad, Hues of Ego, Haute Body, Laura Tanzer, Leola Sky, Lily V., Medium Apparel, Michi Knitwear.
These rookies’ designs will walk along side Devereux Golf, Eleeve Lifestyle Golf, Marly Kluge, Dolcesa, Yen, Yas Couture, Design Me, Glenn Plaid, Albert Andrada, and Rocky Gathercole who are runway vets. If you haven’t gotten your ticket, don’t freak out they are still available at the door.
