Phoenix does not stop surprising the fashion world. The Phoenix Fashion week is now the top Fashion event in the south west. The morning began with seminars taught by leaders of the fashion industry. This year there were more than 1,000 seats filled at Talking Sticks Resort. Crowds flocked to see what the emerging designers had to offer and buy the looks on sale right off the runway at the Style Villa.

Each night there the bartender poured his best, while DJ’s like DJ Jen Jones played their best. The first night, Fashionably Pink was a not only stylish but heart warming as well. Local celebrities walked the runway with breast cancer survivors while their stories were told. The night raised money and awareness while models posed for a live photo shoot.

As the nights went on the clothes continued to get more and more luxurious. The crowd got to look and feel like the models after Boots and Toni and Guy revamped their look for no cost. It started with every day wear and ended in couture. Although Misha Mendicino Designs won designer of the year, I believe that Hues of Ego surprised everyone with their edgy crystal face masks that adorned models who wear classy white dresses.

Dolcessa does not only get attention from Sports Illustrated Magazine but Beats by Dr. Dre as well. The doctor had his head phones on Dolcessa models as they walked down the runway. Not surprisingly, Rocky Gathercole stole the show a second year in a row with his dresses that seemed more like art!

Jannelle Jansen, art student at Arizona State University said, “It was so artistic and inspiring.”
