About Me

I’m Alexa, a native New Yorker and self proclaimed fashion guru. I grew up with the streets as my run way and Vogue as my bible. On December 28th a bohemian goddess emerged into the world. Yes, that’s me. I was born a fashionista. My first sentence was, “No jeans mommy.” From then on, it was goodbye to my brother’s handy me downs, and hello to pink light up sketchers (they were a thing back then), although I am now a big supporter of vintage.

I believe style is more than what you wear.  A wise man named Yves Saint Laurent once said, “Fashions fade style is eternal.” Style comes from within and gives you the ability to express who you are, without even having to say a word. Style is influenced by various sources of inspiration, like where you go and what you see.
Here I will rant about how my style has evolved over the last 22 years. I would like to thank my mother (who wears ripped up jeans with rock and roll t-shirts), my w(a/o)nderlust, the various rock concerts my parents started subjecting me to when I was little. It is really all the little things that have helped me become the women or hippie gypsy I am today.

Six years ago I moved across the country to attend The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Arizona State University. To prepare me for my future (dream) job under Anna Wintour I have had a number of fashionable internships. My most recent internships include Cosmopolitan, Seventeen Magazine and Wilhelmina Models. I hope to one-day work for a major fashion publication, or become a full time mermaid if that fails. I think I would make a great mystical creature.
